Turning Leaves, Kaiser Hospital Parking Structure, Oakland, CA

Two facades of a new parking structure were covered with a kinetic skin that changes in opacity in response to the direction of the wind. Each of the 10,000 kinetic panels is free to rotate 360-degrees in the wind allowing them to come in and out of view and reveal and obscure the interior of the parking structure. Designed in collaboration with NBBJ Architects. Completed in 2016
