Completed in 2024, the artwork consists of a 3-story tall, conical, cable net populated with thousands of counter-balanced elements that sway in the wind and are also activated by falling water. The artwork extends up from a reflecting pool to a ceiling covered with a granulated pattern developed in collaboration with SOM Architecture, blurring the boundaries between art, architecture and atmosphere. The swaying elements are made from a bio-plastic derived from living plants instead of fossil fuels so the artwork functions as a reservoir for carbon that was pulled from the atmosphere.
