Invisible Confluence, Jiading Future City, Shanghai, China (with UAP) 2025

Inspired by a forest of bamboo, the installation consists of a circular ring of 12 vertical stainless steel poles. Each pole supports an array of hundreds of wind-animated “leaves” that sway in the wind. The leaves were fabricated from a bio-plastic derived from living plants instead of fossil fuels. The plaza below is animated by rippling patterns of light and shadow suggestive of the light filtering through a bamboo forest.
